the best rap album of the decade?
Anyone interested, you can pick HHNF up in Fopp for £1
I like Madvilliany but it's not no1 for me.
HHNF was one of the best £1s i ever spent
as the song says...we got it for cheap
the line, 'I'm shoveling so much snow man they call me frosty lover' crack me up every time, I'm not sure why. But it did make me put it on a special Christmass mixtape I did last year.
Did you get the free mixtape they did recently as like a taster / promo for their album coming this year and the clothing line? It was pretty damn good the best I've heard them since Hell Hath...
I will dig out the link for you
I forgot google can find shit quicker than I can...
I hope they've still got it and they haven't gotten too soft with all the adulation and wealth..I mean that last re-up gang volume was patchy at best. I'll remain optimistic though.
HHNF is pretty incredible, possibly more for the production than all of the lyrical content. I mean, how many different convoluted metaphors for selling crack are necessary? Also, Lord Willin' has more club hits on it for sure I'd say.
them on loadsa diffrent beats I dont think any of it will be on the next album.
They are still spiting about crack and how fuckin awsome they are heheh
They haven't mollowed to much
wonder if they still sell crack...
and she got a really good interview with the two of them in it. They implied quite heavily that they still slung, and that they really did only care about money, cars and women (there was that line on the last WGIFC mixtape about "to write a verse is like a chore" which again implied they weren't that arsed). I don't really mind, what with it being 'their thing' and all, but sooner or later the well is going to run dry..I just don't want them to put out a weak album, that's all.
I was a little worried about this next album afetr hearing the previouse mixtapes with the Re-Up Gang. But this new one re-newed my faith in them, I have a feeling they keep the good stuff for Clipse releases rather than the Re-Up Gang stuff.
I think they will get locked up before they make a duff album under Clipse if what they are rappin is all true.
in a boutique style almost, while the re-up gang stuff definitely seems to have a much lower standard of quality control. As long as the new album is dead-eyed and cold hearted I'm sure it'll be amazing!
..i love 'mumma i'm sorry'.
