Better album And Still, Waiting or Black Vase???
which one to buy first
theres 8 pounds tht i could potentially waste on this
But I've not heard it. I saw him with Emil Beaulieau and Jessica Rylan a few years back, he was superb.
I shot this at the Bristol show
Consumer Electronics played too. Probably one of the best noise shows I've ever been to.
would essentially be my ideal gig, i havent heard either, im just sampling from itunes which is annoying, ive gone for black vase as it seems the more diverse of the two
really grating harsh noise pounding away. not heard black vase. prurient is one of the best noise acts in the world so i assume it's great.
but and still, wanting is the sound of utter dispair, very good record, pretty devastating.
for me that comes from...
'When pornography is no longer enough' by Sutcliffe Jugend.
nothing captures his live performance though
his set at atp the other year was fucking great. i was sat on the floor watching the dead c and i nearly bounced up into the air because of the almighty noise coming from below. i went down to see what the fuck was happening and it was just prurient.
Or 'Pleasure Ground'. 'Black Vase' is good but personally I think Dom's moved on to more interesting areas since.
I've done a big interview with him that's in the current Plan B if that's of any interest.
made me check him out
really interesting, he sounds lik an extremely intriguing person who is making noise for the right reasons, and clearly is commited to it, did you find him quite difficult to interview?
He's a great interview. Lots to say!
I might say that I've been enjoying that new Vatican Shadow reissue.
it's fucking unbelievable. By far one of my favourite noise records. If I want more stuff like that what should I get?
Try some Iron Fist of the Sun stuff. Kinda similar but you could very well know that.
