You know the deal, like Will Smiths "Men In Black" using "Forget Me Nots" by Patrice Rushen. There is a sizable difference in the meaning of the two sets of words provided -
"sending you forget me nots, to help me to remember" (heartfelt plea not to be forgotten)
"here come The Men In Black, the galaxy defenders" (here come The Men In Black, the galaxy defenders)
For some reason this produces a odd reaction in me, why on earth I care I don't know but I find it quite funny and yet at the same time a brief thought goes to the original author may have been expressing something personal or heartfelt only for it to be bulldozed over in the name of good old fashioned $$$.
Anyone got any other examples/favourites?
