Mine was always I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One, but Electr-o-Pura has recently become number one
Pretty much perfect record.
Curious to hear what their covers album (as Condo Fucks) is like when it's out in March.
YLT covers in the past have always been reasonably close to the originals, so I can't imagine this Condo Fucks album being particularly interesting.
wins, just because it's got Deeper Into Movies on it.
Nowhere Near gets me every time. Electr-o-pura and I Can Hear The Heart.. run it pretty close though.
is just pretty much perfect, closely followed by 'I Can Hear The Heart'.
I've got the urge to hear 'Saturday' now..
Although, I wouldn't want to be without any of the last four.
it's just so accomplished and relaxed
i've generally small (or big) problems with other YLT albums, yet not this one
I need to indulge in some electro pura next time an amazon binge calls then. Heart is beating and one is indeed a fine record. May I sing with me is really enjoyable as well. Has anyone seen old joy with Will Oldham in one of the lead roles and YLT soundtracking? two thumbs up!
I don't think they've made a poor album - everything since Painful at the least has been great I feel.
I completely agree. Electr-o-Pura, I Can Hear the Heart..., And then nothing... and Summer Sun were been an incredible run of records.
I'm not afraid of you... is good and ok, made better by The story of Yo La Tango which is absolutely wicked.
with And Nothing... in second place
what a spot on record. I really enjoy and then nothing turned itself inside out also
I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out
Really though, it's all good. I'd sort of half-forgotten how great they were until I listened to Painful in the car last night.
Ride The Tiger
with Will Oldham and the YLT soundtrack is beautiful....well worth checking out
Autumn Sweater is one of the loveliest songs ever
Although I probably don't have enough of their albums to properly judge. Remarkably consistent band (in terms of quality, obviously their songs are pretty diverse in style).
