Am i the only one really looking forward to this album!!
Look here sounds like it could be excellent!!
is so weird.
but slightly scared at the same time.
this could either be amazing, or a national tragedy.
richeys 'lost' songs
PLEASE BE AMAZING
see: the weirdness or the second bush album.
he can only make bands who are already good sound nice.
the manics haven't been good for years.
There i said it!!!
Autumn song is a tuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnne!
"Now baby what u done to you hair"
Really don't care. I stick on the Holy Bible every few months and that's it. If this is the follow-up they're saying it is to the Holy Bible, I'd give it a listen but the Manics have little part in my life anymore.
are still my favourite band after all these years. I can't wait for this.
but it could be awful. I'll certainly be interested to hear it though, which is more than I can say for the last few Manics records. Great song titles too.
'Peeled Apples'. Saying we're talking Manic Street Preachers in 2009, it holds together surprisingly well. My intrigue blossoms.
but often of late, the lyrics have let down the tunes. James Dean Bradfield has always had a knack for a top tune so... this should be fascinating.
I loved Send Away The Tigers but... "Underdogs" made me want to crawl under a rock.
or maybe he was just far away.
suddenly really looking forward to this now
A radio rip is circulating...
sounds like Temptation by Heaven 17 played by a drunk Therapy.
I somehow doubt it actually is though.
sound like a big bag of bollocks to me. I don't hold much hope for this album.
to peeled apples.
Sounds a bit like stereophonics to me...
But I also can imagine I would like it after listening a bit more. I have a love hate thing with the manics
with "Chomsky" thrown in hear and there. Dull as fuck. This is not going to be the return to form we had all hoped for.
3 minutes in and I can't believe I managed it this far. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the Manics stuff and probably have more time for them than a lot of people but that Peeled Apples is just plain bland. Its trying to be edgy and rough sounding for the sake of it but underneath it is just a very ordinary rock number. My anticipation for the album has dropped a couple of notches as a result. Heres to hoping the rest of it is better.
I think i'd rather scratch my eyes out then hear the Manics doing a stereophonics impression. Although oddly i do kinda remember loads magazines tried to set the Stereophonics up as a new Manics when they first came about...
does nothing for me. he's got this thing now james where his voice is really trying to reach for something but the physical limitations won't let him. its like neil tennant's; somewhere around the early 00's it went that way and now it can't go back.
i still like LIFEBLOOD though.
is a great tune. good chorus line in
'mummy what's a sex pistol?'
