doesn't say very much but the odd thing is a lot of this stuff isn't obvious to most people.
the one key thing he doesn't get is that most of the labels who were selling pop shite were also the ones able to invest i boundary breakers, like MBV and their crazy studio bills. it takes selling things which make a lot of money to 'commission' or allow people to make 'art'.
