WE ARE KASABIANAAAH.
Patrick Wolf in the john peel tent a few years ago.
The crowd went mad for him, it was packed in there.
Also when i hear must be the moon by !!! i think about when I saw them play there in that little foresty stagey place (the glade?) everyone was going crazy and dancing like mad for that too, the two guys sharing vocals were all over the rafters and stuff.
I danced so much there I collapsed afterwards. It's not that often I've felt like I've needed to be on a little something extra while seeing a band just to get myself through the whole thing.
Pulp - Babies takes some beating for a band on top of their game and a crowd loving them right back
but the end of Karma Police in 03 was pretty much the greatest thing ever.
reminds me of when they played at sunset on the second stage.
big orange red sky over us all.
I remember '99 they played it, mogwai dressed in the animal costumes and a person driving a car through the crowd
with a sea of drunken bastards singing along, I remember thinking 'I fucking hate Paul McCartney'.
Looking over to see some dude getting on a surfboard during the Bryan Wilson set, and thinking ... 'God, it's all about you, isn't it? You and your poxy dayglo pigboard'
Some dude shouting 'Why are you so good?' to Six by Seven as the smoke machine prepared to engulf them, again and again.
and everything in its right place
FOREVERFOREVERFOREVERFOREVER scrolling LEDs
White Stripes - Ball and a Biscuit
1) leonard cohen whilst grown men cried and I felt a bit tingly and fell in love with some girl (I didnt speak to her)
2) then running to my morning jacket and probably looking like a complete moron watching them jumping around singing
Gorgeous, gorgeous weather. I never even knew anything about him and assumed I'd hate him cos he's a DiS guy.
but early in the afternoon of the saturday of 2004, I woke up to the Father Ted music blasting out of the Other Stage. I didn't realise until that moment it was an actual song by The Divine Comedy. So now every time I watch Father Ted, I laugh at the music, just for that 30 seconds of complete confusion and disorientation I experiened at the time.
Literally exploding with joy. Thats about it.
but only cos calvin harris had to mime cos his mic wasnt working
(read: deliberately turnt off) was so funny
