is there a way do do it and be able to stretch the created sample to fit to a certain tempo?
and thereby use it as a loop alongside other loops?
I always used to take the first loop and fit everything in around that. Make sure you take off the snap-to-fit tempo thing, otherwise it's a nightmare trying to record something to EXACTLY 120 bpm or whatever.
Does that even help at all?!
Related question - has anyone used soundforge on the mac? It seems to be freely available from their website (audacity or something?) and would be really useful for this sort of thing. And maybe general mastering and stuff?
but unfortunately it only helps in only confirming what i assumed. cheers though.
your related question is interesting though. i might try downloading this program
