1. Is Awesome.
2. Sounds like Animal Collective
could easily go on water curses ep
but I don't think its to much of a secret that Animal Colective are just stealing ideas from R&B producers and then everyone going ooo this is brand new ideas and they are the best band in the world!
bridge the gap and get everyone keen on more music; less dissing and more dancing. all good.
you don't see enough people dancing at bands gigs though, do people dance to animal colective Iv not seen um?
and some others were bobbing a bit. but most people just kind of stood and chin stroked the times i've seen them. i don't really understand it considering how bouncy and euphoric their recent output's been
something has gone wrong with the music lovers of today if they can't even dance at a gig anymore. I can stroke my unshaved face at home anytime of the week so why not whip out a couple of moves when the beat kicks in at a gig, even some head nodding is a good effort?
is that it's a bit too unpredicatble to get into it. Also why i'm not a massive fan of them live in general, i'm always thinking "this is interesting, i'll probably like it once they've released it and i've heard it on record a few times", but by that time they'll have stopped playing it live. Almost certainly more fun for them the way they do it but less fun for me.
I've been to clubs and not recognised a single tune and danced all night. It's just about feeling it in the moment or something...
I don't want everyone to dance like bastards all the time that wouldn't happen. I've just been to lots of gigs where a hell of alot of people look bored and I have no idea if they are just tryin to look cool, not feelin the music or have forgoten how to dance.
there's got to be at least a consistent rhythm so you can get into the groove. I'm normally soberer for gigs so less likely to dance for that reason.
for aaaages though. like, you'd have to go back to the noise albums for that. last two albums have been super danceable, all 4/4, most with dancey rhythms. feels had some pretty bouncy tracks too. i suppose its unfair to impose dancing on everyone who wouldn't want to, but it kinda sucks that dancing doesn't go on when they're so upbeat and euphoric
to you jimi, a-fucking-men. TIRED of people who pay money to watch gigs, then just stand there, a veneer of 'cool' but is actually fear. I blame the strokes.
With 2, at first i thought fuck off, but now realise what you mean, but still disagree.
that beyonce track just sounds like a mess the beats just don't seem to sit right.
this is great, awesome beat
on dubstepforum hehehe
its got a mad beat
It's a good song with a nice bounce to it. All the greatness rests in the chorus, though, I think. The verses are just there to carry you to the chorus when some kind of renegade robots descend upon it, carrying all kinds of doom, freaking out the canine R2D2 yelps. Bloody love that shit.
is about inventing a stronger, outgoing alternate personality. definitely a pitchfork reader
'We couldn't think of a good chorus so we'll just repeat the line over and over again'
I prefer Womanizer though, probably just because it's Britney and not Beyonce.
that sounds just like the spider from the Smurfs game on the Atari 2600.
As for the Beyonce vid, 0:57 is nice.
First time I've ever found her attractive, but my word...
not attractive or likeable, especially with this zigy stardust pish she is doing right now. this track annoys alot... but the backgroud synths are nice
it is a choon. And it does indeed sound a bit like Animal Collective. Totally awesome. I always knew Beyonce was more than just a pretty face.
She looks like a rooster or something. Not a very good song, neither.
You're wrong about it being not very good.
the tune is great too! it's a bit of fun, if you can shake your thing like that good for you!
2. Doesn't sound like Animal Collective
Kind of like that time people were saying that usher song sounded like Black Dice. Weird. Animal Collective didn't invent weird samples and none of their songs have grooves or structure or anything like this one. Gets my goat.
similar beat, similar samples. just because they didn't invent weird samples doesn't mean the samples don't sound similar.
