so so so so soooooooooooooooooo good.
It's spelt with a o :P
At least that's my friends from Luxembourg spell it!
glad it's not just my shit drunk brain.
They're not named after the country.
they want their band back.
i haven't listened to them in a while though.
it still sounds amazing.
But Lovvers are also very good.
others played in Scarecrows, and a now one is Cats in Paris (i think)
they're spread all over the shop.
i used to be fully obsessed with this band, the album was very important in getting me into good music 4 or 5 years back.
but they always seemed to be looking for a certain sound they didnt quite have down.
lovvers seem to be pretty much the full package.
lovvers are GASH
one's in cats in paris? that literally blew my mind.
seminal band for the uk underground scene which will sadly be forgotten years from now. the problem is they didn't really do an amazing album, just had this massive promise to do something mindblowing. lovvers don't cut the mustard at all
one of scarecrows is in CIP, but he wasn't in murder of
I was listening to "Everyones In Love And Flowers Pick Themselves" the other day awesome album.
i hid it so i could buy it when i had some money. when i went back it was gone. sadface.
they're quite hard to come by i believe.
it's been deleted for years now :(
OLLERZ. Yeah, that out of the way, I'm going to go listen to them and come back with something that has substance.
I saw them in Worcester about 4 years ago (i could be wrong about the dates my memory is mush when it comes to things like that) in the upstairs room of some pub that was rammed. The gig was awesome, i seem to remember some netting of some description that was on the ceiling got accidentally ripped down by a flailing guitar and then covered the mosh pit, making it look like some giant monster had been captured beneath. Quality.
I was there as well, it was the Apple Tree!
Saw some fantasic gigs there - Kill Yourself, Little Explorer, This Ain't Vegas, Jarcrew and Diego Garcia as well
pretty sure their label on the side released it.
there's probably boxes of them somewhere or other.
loved them and i think they played their last ever gig for DiS.
goes for a bit of money on amazon and ebay.
i have the tracks but would quite like the actual release.
with the really shitty thrashy songs?
it's their last ep
i have the purple 7" with comic book, and the CD with bonus video
what's your offer?
oh dear. i'm in such a muddle.
25p and a bottle of chocolate fudge frijj.
A few months ago I went to listen to Everyones In Love... and the cd was not in the case. Gutted. Absolutely no idea where it is either.
randomly turned up.
maybe it likes to hide.
have my cd and not the case too!
Earlier this year (or maybe even last year) I realised that it was ages since I listened to Breaking The Fourth Wall but cd wasn't in it's case. There was a guy who worked for Earache on a forum I used to frequent, he sent me the cd for free as they had some stock left. Super nice of him.
I'm not sure you could get away with that kind of thing by just asking the label.
i saw them a couple of times around its release and there were a few songs they never recorded that sounded even better. quite kinsella-ish, which seems to be all the rage round here these days (that's not a sleight, i love the JOA family bands).
how much is anyone willing to pay me for it?
...one of my mate's bands were signed to undergroove at the same time. Everyone's in Love and Flowers Pick Themselves is a really good record; I went through a phase of listening to it again recently and it has so much going on. I really like the instrumental tracks.
.....every stage (first 7", album, last 7") was incredible, with the album being the crowning glory.
However, they sucked the one time I saw them live.
