He spoke to me about crack heads! Yay!!
See, here: http://popmusicology.wordpress.com/2008/12/15/christmas-on-mars-london-premiere/
but yeah, i guess the baby is kind of like a messiah. but then again, so is Wayne Coyne. he literally strolls about, takes flaming balls out of his mouth, dresses like santa and generally makes everything nice again. the sequence when silent night begins to play is really beautiful, and a little bit funny.
think i'm gonna buy it, the music's really excellent.
i saw/ heard that. he was going on about his brother's security guard friend getting killed by crack heads!
he is a gentleman to the say the least.
i expected nothing less, but was still surprised to see that he had so much time for everyone.
and leitmotifs can be a real bane when they're too simpplistic (in my opinion). it was good that they were more figuratively suggested and attached to moods, rather than being all 'Wayne's theme', 'santa's theme' etc.
i didn't realise it was that expensive. hmm, it is really good, but maybe it'd be better to wait 'til you get hmv vouchers for xmas. me? i'm stealing it from work.
Daniel, I think I took that photo of you and WC, as I was stood right where it was taken and have a recollection of doing so. Anyway!
Was a great, great evening.
i thank you very warmly! that picture is now my facebook thing and on my laptop background. nerd.
