Not happening anytime soon ever!
oh wait a second I wrote it...
sorry about that
I bloody love Postal Service I would love some more. Death Cab just don't do it for me :(
Which has a truly awesome opening trilogy.
falls off after that though
I saw them live ages ago now and they were so boring
Shame they couldn't keep that standard going - it would have been their The Bends.
one day there will probibly a really nice Death Cab best of
and everything I've heard on the radio / seen on MTV etc. since seems like shit...
Also, Plans has some really good stuff on it, too.
No 'official' vid for Transatlanticism's title track, but it's a phenomenal slice of epic indie:
i hate you jimi.....
I liked the Postal Service album a lot, but in all honesty nothing on it compared to Gibbard and Tamborello's first collaboration on Dntel's 'Life is Full of Possibilities' - This is the Dream of Evan and Chan
I haven't heard it in ages mind cheers for reminding me
maybe they should just get some really good remixes done over the next however many years and then re-releace it with a bonus CD of those. I would quite like that.
how hard could it be, youd think the way the first album was made they could easily find time to make more
it would outshine death cab
that has to be a joke post, right?
they made the first album by sending each other music through the post, it seems like this way of making music together would be alot easier than most side bands, its not like they would have to sync up their schedules book studio time etc, they could just be working on it part time in the background like they did the first time, what with better internet they wouldnt even have to rely on the post service
is not an easy process, especially when outdoing Give Up.
seems like a really bad attitude towards it. They shouldn't make a new album because they theoretically could, but if they do work together again it should be because they're both motivated to work on it and believe there's somewhere they can go with the project that they're both excited by.
It shouldn't be down to any sense of duty or practical ease.
thingsthatfly, not you.
its just frustrating that they dont
</3 me too
(except, kind of not, because I think it'd be so hard to better, and that there being only one Postal Service record is the way it should be).
im completely torn between wishing they did another album and hoping they dont, complete cognitive dissonance
I 100% do not want another Desaparecidos album. There's no bettering that. I don't think Conor would have it in him now.
that would still be really really good
so lyrically it would be very different but might be an interesting perspective to see things from the other side of his 20's
Got all excited......
Or just not as good as Give Up.
It would be horrible.
I don't think I was really expecting one to be honest.
I didn't even know they did any live stuff together.
It's a wicked album I just don't get sick of it.
next best song
the last one
That's totally my favourite Postal Service song.
i'm an idiot. natural anthem.
natural harmony is a whole different song altogether (but it's also good)
