This is lovely, lovely stuff:
The Deer Tracks from Sweden..
i got the album last week, its really, really good
i need to get that then.
i don't have a physical copy although i'd like one, i got it from the amazon mp3 site as it was the cheapest i could find
That's really all you need to mention to sell it, these days.
No other country produces more perfect twee/glitch/electro pop - look at Loney, Dear and Moonbabies, too.
Actually, really check out Moonbabies. It's criminal they're not bigger here: http://www.myspace.com/moonbabies
And a good duality, I think. Disfear are stormin', a band who thoroughly believe that there's just not enough double-speed Motorhead in the world.
i'm a sucker for a good subject line. i wish everyone could work out this algorithm for the perfect subject line. i'm tempted to have a board for JAGing bands you're in/like but force the subject line to be three bands... would that work?
glad to be of service. Good innit?
but I tend to make ones that break peoples' heads a bit.
I once described a Mew song as the bastard lovechild of Sigur Ros and ABBA. I stand by it. Any Mew fans care to guess which one it was?
And, also, *people's* [sorry]
like white lips kissed or comforting sounds or something
You can so imagine Benny and Bjorn rocking out while Anni-frid and Agnetha sing it back to back. The lyrics are barmy enough to be ABBA at any rate.
really like these...
not sure if there's a UK release date for the album yet, but they've got a UK press contact on their MySpace, so presumably it will be coming soon. Looks like they did a London date earlier this year too, which is annoying!
I shall try getting in touch for sure....
didn't think of Loney, Dear but it does actually..!
with the equally ace sad day for puppets
a joint headline/switching type affair?
Sad Day For Puppets sound nice, but I think I much prefer The Deer Tracks.
Am just checking, if I go to the Social gig (more central/easier for me to get to), will The Deer Tracks still have the same length set even though they're not listed as headlining? ta!
I stumbled across them a couple of weeks ago whilst looking for Christmas songs. I've been listening to Slow Collision all day, it makes me happy.
bump, it's a new year innit.
i'll take a look
Listening to 'Slow Collision' now and it's perfect
I need a physical release date now please
is out 9th march over here..Might be selling it at those london gigs though because it's already out in sweden.
they are already my first favourite band of the year, really looking forward to the london shows.
thats made my day
