I miss them so much.
I also miss them!
The album overall was a bit patchy, but still not bad!
that first single was the worst thing on it
although All Roads To Fault was never bettered.
All Roads To Fault was... well, faultless. I really dug the spacier sound on Ignoto. They Came From The Sun disappointed a little, I don't think they handled the pop sound as well, but the second half was as strong as anything on the other two records.
Funnily enough, I was actually going to say "I miss them" when I saw the thread title.
No Fault/Empty Feat/2 Stone/Fourthree though.
Both albums and the EP had a major melodic streak running through em no doubt.
Just because it was better produced 'Sun' was no more of a pop record than Ignoto.
To The Cars was literally their best ever song and so, just for that, TCFTSun is a winner.
The production definitely brought that element of them to the fore and it didn't sit as well for me, I preferred the rawer/noisier/whatever sound on the other two.
But yes. Translate, To The Cars, Screaming Ground... wonderful stuff. I just always think of I'm Leaving and it makes me reflect that badly on the record.
They Came From The Sun was predictable in places. Ignoto put curveballs in every now and then, but it also had thoughtful slow-burners. i think they set the bar pretty high for themselves ever since All Roads To Fault and First Mater (Mother? Master? does anyone know?) Responds.
For me it goes like this
All roads to fault<Ignoto<TCFTS, but all three were great records, Titang Grip was always my favourite song.
