I usually look forward to this list, but this years is a complete mockery of a sham, of a sham of a mockery. Very disappointed that DiS has got involved as it is surely a marketing tool to sell lp's that Rough Trade has too many copies left of instore.
Now don't get me wrong I love Rough Trade and spend way too much time in Rough Trade East, but the number of omissions from this list deem it not significant as relevant albums of the year list. I don't want to get into what I like and don't like, but a quick check on many different threads on this board will alert you to the many albums that regularly come up which aren't mentioned. Many albums which were advertised in store as albums of the week/month aren't included in this list.
Don't want to be too negative about a great independent flag ship that Rough Trade surely is, I just really feel that this years list is a transparent marketing strategy.
