Jeffrey Lewis was good as usual, but it was a bit of an awkward place (Shepherd's Bush Empire) for him. Big venue and pretty much noone there to see him. He played a really short set, but got through a bunch of new and old songs and three of his live "short films". I really enjoyed it, but I doubt he made that many new fans.
Jarvis...well...I just don't think his songs are that strong and the band didn't seem that into it. He's an incredible front-man/performer though, so I really enjoyed just watching him. =But, unfortunately his stage moves and the in-between songs banter was more entertaining than the music itself. "Fat Kids..." and "Cunts are still running the world" were fun, but apart from that it was all very average.
