at the Harlow Square back in the good old days
that is sooo weird.
Whenever you mentione Sonar Fariq everyone remembers Goop Dogdrill!!!
SF just dissappeared though..didn;t tehy get a deal with a major then ...just zapp?
but are they not now most of another top modern pop group...?
Saw them play support to someone at Rock City, the lead singer was arrogant and the crowd not very receptive, but it sounded ok so I got the album, which had a few great tracks on it, drop the bomb, we be on fire, do not return. Then went to see them at the Vic, Derby and it was probably the best gig I have ever seen ( to put into perspective I have been giging very reguarly for 25 years). The arrogance from Michael the singer worked with the crowd, the band was very tight, he surfed on top of the crowd with his feet pushing him across the ceiling. An amazing show that I have been trying to better ever since. They got dropped by the label -MCA? and then recorded a second album but it was'nt brilliant and nobody would take it ( it was on the myspaz site to download) Michael is now in Dead Kids who I have'nt seen yet.
to see them at the Barfly. Those were the days.
great band. saw them loads of times. they went out of the blocks so fast... their first gig at the bull & gate was excellent (and very busy).
they are also one of the nicest bands i've ever met too - always found it funny how mike could go from nice guy to completely mental onstage.
bizarrely, i spotted their old manager on the tube at leytonstone yesterday.
you've made me want to listen to the album now. right now.
the singer's in Dead Kids? cool, that's interesting. i kinda like them.
i've just remembered that this is the first band i ever drank backstage with, in verdis in weymouth. glory days.
