Next monday... Anyone going? I can't wait!!!
It's going to be brilliant!
Although my excitement isn't exactly electric at the moment. That'll probably change. Who's supporting?
What are they like? Also, any predictions for what time the brilliance will be over? Gots to get trains!
need to find out what it's called though. erm
The support is called Dag for Dag don't know too much about them.
will check out their mspace when not at work....
Any ideas anyone? Does the Electric Ballroom have a normal cut off point or owt? Planning my transport home and don't want to have to leave halfway through Kissing the beehive....
It's next to the tube station too, which is quite useful.
I've found it's now growing on me. Call it a Ritual, Language City and the Grey Estates are pretty brilliant.
It's still no Apologies, but I do find myself listening to it more these days.
never seen them before - very excited
I left it in a place where it could easily get moved or thrown away for months and now its been tidied up. Im not that excited as last album so disapointing, but low expectations leave alot of room to be pleasantly surprised.
I found myself passing through Atlanta, Georgia during the summer at the same time as Wolf Parade.
Sadly, they were absolute rubbish. I'd seen them before in Nottingham and they were stunning but that was very early on - they were supporting Black Mountain and Dead Meadow after all.
Anyway they were so disappointing. The new album is so unsubtle, and live they were a cliched college rock messy jumble.
I'm a huge Apologies fan so was delighted they ended on Fancy Claps, but my friend thought they were dreadful. Be warned.
It'll be interesting to see how they translate to a simple two guitars/drums/keyboard sound.
