Um, no.

DON'T SLEEP TONIGHT MICKEY, I'M COMING TO KILL YOU IN YOUR BED
they dont sound remotely like coldplay
i think
at least coldplays first album was good
howling bells suck dick
I thought you liked them
you fucktard?
I thought the thread was a joke thread.
Howling Bells are one of the top 5 bands of the last few years.
in fact, the only better bands are:
brmc, the strokes, ryan adams, white stripes
And the only reason for that is - they have more to go from.
RYAN ADAMS?
... Coldplay?
This thread's a joke, right?
Ken Nelson DID produce records for both bands...
Well...
He produced 'Howling Bells', but 'Radio Wars' was produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat.
Sorry, I misread that!
I thought you said he produced both records. My bad.
i feel vindicated
not really :@
i said it last week but i'll say it again:

pretty simular I guess in the intro at least, I've not heard the band before I cant go beyond that.
from coldplay to radiohead...? no that was wrong..
to go from coldplay's producer ken nelson to dan thingy who was radiohead's engineer-cum-mixer dude in shadow of nigel godrich seems just a little too considered for a band that have talent (some) but seem so BOTHERED to be hip and cool and sadly take so long to write mediocre songs that by the time the tracks are mixed, produced that SOUND is then out of date and hackneyed!! they should have stuck to the pop music they used to release in Oz..
Yes!!!
I thought the same thing. Of course, they are exactly the same but I think there is a definite influence there.
ha...and they said i was crazy......
i'm thinking of making this thread into a life-affirming oscar gobbler with philip seymour hofman playing me, the chastised prophet who had to suffer hell for vindication....i'm talking to a few people about different directions we could take it in...i'll let you know how it goes
