burning star core
Have you seen him live?
Cos I love the first, not so much the latter.
certainly has a melodic element.
Not sure about the rest...
Just a kick ass rhythm section. However arhythmically they want to be playing it's fine, but I want one just the same.
"Tom Araya is our Elvis" on there is great. The rhythm section is playing rhythmically and arhythmically!!!!1
it's not as good as the picture of the walrus with his flippers over his face but it's pretty good
Not heard vampire can't. I shall check. Thanks.
Amazing band. Really brilliant.
Crazy, crazy band.
Whitehouse (later stuff has more rhythm)
Merzbow (all, any)
is fucking immense :)
How are we supposed to keep track dog? I count three cds, a tape, an LP and a boxset with three more cds in it. Too much Matthew Bower, too much. That's not even counting the Sunroof and Hototogisu stuff. The only person that's beaten him is James Ferraro as far as I can see.
I would say give Orange Canyon Mind by Skullflower a try because it's very good. I think you can listen to it free on last.fm and trai before you bai.
blue sabbath black fiji
astral social club
Also Jazzkammer's 'Timex' and the Jazkamer & Smegma 'Endless Coast' albums are pretty neat.
all of the psychedelic tape loop work since Infinite Lucifer has been unbelievable
"OH GOD HEY GUIZE CAN YOU HELP ME FIND MY OWN TASTE"
why not take twenty fucking minutes out of your day to do even the barest research and find something you fucking like without "179 users online" holding your fucking hand?
and I was wondering if there were any further recommendations from people on here as I know there's some that will have slipped under the radar, you silly sausage.
on a music website, to ask about music?
and this is the worst post I've ever read.
You utter, utter, utter moron.
if you still want it to still be vaguely connected to rock music:
if you still want an element of psychedelia:
if you want pure noise with no attempt at musicality for brutality's sake:
I still haven't heard any actual Incapacitants save that youtube clip where they are playing in the mountains!
they played No Fun and everything
i guess i haven't seen them live as Kosakai couldn't get time off for Instal this year but Mikawa was there and so was Junko from Hijokaidan yeah
happens while i'm still here and they get someone coo
they all sound pretty much the same at first
Hijokaidan are kinda still a rock band in that they have the whole guitar-drums-vocals thing, but they just make as big a racket as possible with their instruments. They're the ultimate conclusion to the whole thing and generally i can't listen to anything for a long while after i've had some on.
maybe you can listen to this at some point:
pretty amazing that the guitarist only ever uses one pedal, he's like the noise Hendrix or something
my boyfriend has been listening to alot of Junko - it's Incredibly disconcerting hearing it coming out of his room!
i.e. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bOXOlxVe9iI :(
you can tell it's guitar at the start, then it's transformed into MRRRRRANGGGGGGG. I don't know if he is using pedals or not though
Polly Shang Kuan Band, deep, eerie atmospheric noise http://www.myspace.com/thepollyshangkuanband
and my default answer whenever noise rock is mentioned usually mentions Geisha, who veer between savagery and euphoria www.myspace.com/geishanoiseresearchgroup
is my fav though they may be a bit more Polvo than Skaters on the noise scale.
