This any good then?
I remember the first track having some huge tacky keyboard solo and giving up pretty quickly, need to give it another shot.
Only listened to it once so far but i was very impressed. I don't quite understand how it slipped through the cracks so much. Was it because it wasn't as commercial sounding as Amplified or is there just less people interested? I mean...it's Q-Tip!
this album is stunning! Every song is a winner
I love this album....I can't believe that no one has mentioned it until now.
so so so so good :)
Its real nice, nothing groundbreaking. He got quite a bit of press over here in the states, lots of live tv spots and video spin for that track w/ Norah Jones and also Manwomanboogie (my favorite track).
Its an understated album that really doesn't jump out at you, not really a single to fall back on and remind you to re-listen in the future. For me, it was a grower.
Grown man raps.
Even more laid back than Renaissance, and much more jazzy. Which I think bodes well for Q-tip. I think Renaissance is better but this is worth a purchase. There are some really great keyboard, piano, and horn solos scattered throughout. If you are into records with subtle nuances and take some time to appreciate, then you may dig.
My favorite track from KtA: Even if It Is So (the horns are slick)
Tip really sounds fantastic over jazzy tracks.
that jazz vibe can be so soothing. He does it much better than Jurassic 5.
