And I still think Growing On Me is great!
when you consider the threats that the NME were throwing around when Bang magazine was launch - basically they said that they'd never cover any bands (chiefly the Darkness) if they allowed themselves to be interviewed in the rival magazine.
and i liked The Darkness a bit but is this really a story worth recounting?
but it could kind of be a car crash. I did like The Darkness but I can't help thinking the true story of what went down, if he has recounted it unflinchingly, could be hard work. But also quite possibly essential reading for any musician currently "on the way up" that feels like they're at the centre of the universe.
Having said that, I get the impression it might be taking a slightly comedic angle...
she told it pretty much the same way...
