'The National' and 'Cherry Tree' by The National
Worth buying?
I've got the other 3 albums so I might as well be completist really, suppose. But yes, tell me they're good.
Monpot. Answering his own threads since all them years back.

Cherry Tree is much better
The National has its moments, but is easily my least favourite of their entire collected output
^^^this
BTW Cherry Tree is only £5 on HMV.co.uk
it was my "bedtime" record for about a year and a half
Cherry Tree definitely
cherry tree definitely
although i would say 'the national' should be in your collection too
cherry tree has their best song on it
about today - so good! the whole ep is pretty excellent
i can lend you
Cherry Tree if you want Monpot? It's not that great. It's alright.
cheers Rob
I'll probably just buy it though. I got a £20 HMV voucher from my old work team the other weak!
The first album has its moments but isn't up to their usual standard
Get Cherry Tree for the title track and About Today especially. Though you have to check out the live versions to hear it in its full glory - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXmDtgopI-8
On the subject,
does anyone else think that the last song, I Don't Mind, is rubbish? I can't remember who it is a duet with but, crap anyway.
It's with the guy who plays violin with them
padma newsome
and yeah, it's rubbish
I've still not bought their first album
but Cherry Tree was my first purchase of theirs, and is still my favourite.
