i'm afraid there is no christmas tour this year. I didnt want to do it unless I could have a lineup to rival last years and the bands I wanted were unavailable.
Mountain Goats at Union Chapel will take some beating though!
Maybe in 2009.
A Day At The Races will be back in 2009 though for sure.
when I interviewed him the other day, so expect a few more dates, though whether that's London Manc Glasgow or a big tour he did not say. I heard he was kind of bummed out that the last one didn't sell so well, though the Cardiff date was respectably attended when I went...
The last UK tour sold out every night if I remember correctly. The show I promoted at The Roadhouse in Manchester in 2007 did for sure anyway...well in advance!
I'm pretty sure this tour will visit Brighton, Manchester and Glasgow only. There have been a lot of London one-off's for them in the past year.
but the important thing is; will he play anything pre-Hissing Fauna? Seeing ...Grotesque Animal live was pretty awesome, but I want at least SOME oldies.
there wont be a norwich show, thats it now... manchester, glasgow, ireland and brighton. i think it will be quite an elaborate show.. no horse.. but still two drummers, lots of props and wierd stage stuff!
woo woo!
What about London!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!??!??!?SD>D:<AF?!?£E?
I was going to start a 'where is scottoneill' thread
ANY PINEAPPLE FOLK CHRISTMAS THINGS THIS YEAR?
.

Kevin said there would be a 'full' tour late Jan/early Feb

yeah, the person who told me that seemed a bit confused
I think she may have been referring to an earlier tour. Bit ominous for their, er, PR, but there you go...
.
that may have been a pre-Hissing Fauna tour.
Since 2007 they have been selling out everywhere they go!
Yeah,
but the important thing is; will he play anything pre-Hissing Fauna? Seeing ...Grotesque Animal live was pretty awesome, but I want at least SOME oldies.
I think they played Disconnect The Dots in New York
but I doubt they'll ever play anything pre-Satanic... again, to be honest
Noboddy plays in norwich
:-(
i'll have you know Of Montreal played their first ever uk show
in Norwich.
I should know as i set the fucker up.
They ALWAYS play Brighton
so they better play here again
Have Of Montreal EVER played Scotland?
They better come here!
Got my Manchester Club Academy ticket for 29/1/09
my first time seeing them!
Got mine too!
Also, first time seeing them. Looking forward to it!
I really should get their new album before then I guess!
so...
they're finally going to do a proper UK tour. About fucking time.

Are they EVER going to play Scotland?

Not onsale yet
But I will be purchasing!
Sweeeet!!
Thanks for the heads up!
Gosh
I wish they'd just announce this instead of sneaking in dates!
Although it's a bit of a shame that we won't get
the bit elaborate show that they do in America, they're clearly not big enough here :(
Oran Mor's nice though!
And also
Glasgow show is onsale now!
Tickets - bought!
Can't wait!
YES!
awesome awesome awesome
.

that's it!?
no london show...?
woo
Belfast!
The Stiff Kitten
was an odd choice.
Yeah
I've never been, it's looks a bit posh. Still, I'm gonna go!
I've seen Autechre play there.
Which was fine for an IDM gig. The fact the entire interior is black coupled with basic lack of stage will make of Montreal...interesting.
Where
Is the London gig?
brighton?
DO u know what makes me happy and sad
the is no london gig!
AT Last a band that doesnt see London as the entire UK! but that means loads of london people will come down n steal OUR tickets :(
seems to happening more often recently
that a band will do the proper london show then come back a few months later play the provincial places
brighton is an hour from london by train
get over yourself
Any chance of an Oxford date?
Probably not :-(
Got my tickets for Manchester
And I am SO excited.
we'd
love to do another Cardiff show one day, too late for this one but probably next time they tour we'll try again..
pretty sure they've done loads of UK tours in the past though to be fair to them..last year certainly wasn't the first time they'd played Cardiff.
Just stay in
put on a Jake Shears mask and spin around on a seat for 90 minutes. It would save you a lot of money.
