I am. Can't wait, not seen them before, and loving Good Nature.
which prevents me from doing so.
on Friday. Most stuff that they played was from Good Nature, so you're in for a treat...
Adam Gnade superb as always but was a little disappointed with Youthmovies to be honest. Have seen them twelve times over the last five years and never felt let down but they played a very short set in comparison to the March tour with none of the new tracks they promised to play. Maybe I'm just being over critical.
Was'ee like then?
i always quite liked that they always used to play loads of new stuff.
no new tracks, and they played ores....
We had some weirdness going on, plus Sam had fucked his lip up.
We are playing for an hour most nights and have been trying to do as many songs as possible. Last night we did ten I think.
From the newer stuff, we're doing Become An Island and Polyp will be making an appearance at some point.
I apologise if anyone was disappointed, we didn't mean to let you down. We're only human and some nights we're just not as 'on it' as others.
the best gig ive seen this year, and ive seen a lot of good bands...
Had a feeling there was a little strangeness going on. To be honest it was first time I'd felt like that in five years of watching you guys on nearly every tour you've done so can't really complain. Looking forward to whatever this December gig is.
I recommend arriving early to see them. I also recommend coming to this afterwards : http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/event.php?eid=33731849162 (shameless plug)
at the Brickworks (almost next door to the Academy) myself and a two friends will be DJ-ing, playing stuff like These Arms Are Snakes, ISIS, Converge, Lifetime, Botch, Jawbreaker, Fugazi, basically noisy stuff. There will also be a cheeseboard and party rings.
I think I like them. I'll have to go see them...
i will probably come in for a few drinks after the gig.
Except I could have done without the Gnade collaboration tracks at the end. A bit on the dull side, compared with the sonic feast that went before it.
So-and-so, Archive it and if you'd seen a battlefield where just damn great.
