Yes the bass is farty but the songs people, the songs?
Do your worst.
I can't hear your songs at the moment (work), but you should never give up.
My stuff gets almost universally ignored except for a few people (hi Lyle and Emerald_Pilot!) but there's no way in hell I'm going to stop making it - I enjoy it too much. It's not about what other people think, it's about enjoying it yourself. Keep going, push yourself and have a good time!
But don't stop. You should never stop unless you want to.
Haven't listened to your stuff yet, SJD - but will.
see you like The Bug, loving his new album, the song 'Mobius Trip' on our myspaz was supposed to be a dubstep-folk thing, didn't come out quite as we hoped but you get the idea.
Yes - more please!
Looking at your music tastes I can honestly say I've got no idea whatsoever if you'd like my stuff or not... I'm glad you're joining me in encouraging Elmo though.
I really like 'Joy'. I like the musical direction - would like more production a la 'Romance of Young Tigers'.
Good stuff - if I wasn't at The Black Keys gig on the 12th - I'd come see.
Next time - and we'll celebrate Obizzle.
but I'll conceed that a studio could do a better job of production than me in my little office at home... :)
I'm more than happy to toast Obizzle though *toasts*
I always pay for mastering but do everything else at home.
You will like RoYT. www.myspace.com/romanceofyoungtigers
Have added you to me myspace - let me know when ur next show is.
the second album's worth of stuff (released next week) was all mastered at home, but as mastering is part of my day job I'm not too worried about the mastering on that lot...
I shall investigate RoYT when I get the chance - always a pleasure to find new stuff :)
As for gigs - 12th is the alst one, I'm going quiet after that due to impending fatherhood... if the baby sleeps a lot I'll probably be gigging again some time inthe new year, but we shall see how it goes...
And I look forward to the new album!
Elmo, let this be a lesson to you in getting people to listen - don't just post your own thread... bang on about your stuff in loads of other threads and sooner or later people will listen to it! :D
Seriously though, I'll give it a go when I get the chance and let you know my innermost thoughts and feelings...
is what i reckon... don't give it up.
