listened to Nevermind after Lithium popped up on my ipod. I still love that album.
it's not really a regular thing in my house, I occasionaly dig out Bleach or that accoustic one for when I need to go on a car journey with my mum.
Before that, probably abotu ten years ago.
I still think it's an incredible album. Same with Unplugged and Bleach. And I listen to other tunes of theirs from time to time (School, Aneurysm, Dive).
In fairness they haven't existed as a band for almost fifteen years - how many bands are still going to seem relevant and fresh after that time?
nothing short of the red hot chilli peppers will make me change channel quicker when channel hoping
the day it was released
They're fantastic. Can't say I ever go back to Nevermind though...
"School" was on shuffle
only ever listen too "unplugged" or "in utero" though.
in utero again
to the sliver 7'' yesterday
on the jukebox in the pub less than two hours ago
but I think the last thing I listened to was in utero might give that unplugged set a listen to tonight though.
was kicking around, and I almost posted a hilarious reply saying "yeah, but ANYTHING > Nirvana". But then I remembered that I do have two of their songs (Sliver & Love Buzz), so I listened to them. And they were quite good.
Everything else they did was a bit bobbins.
some of their other covers were alright. But, y'know, I can just listen to Bowie or the Meat Puppets if I want to hear those songs. And they'll be better.
walked past a pub where some balding 40 year old men were covering come as you are. i wanted to go in; the rest of my party declined :(
so like , errrr, 7/8 years ago. i know my age just.
just for music history educational purposes.
there was a thread on here about the best music from the 90s so I put Nevermind on, and guess what - it still sounds ruddy incredible!
I don't know how anyone could make a chorus that literally just goes "yeah ye-ah yeah" a few times sound so utterly profound! (Lithium)
sometime around '95 or '96.
when i went to school in a nevermind hoodie.....to much abuse from my peers.
