but man on the ol' thrashhits you haven't exactly been pushing the bloundrys of heavy music have ya, its all run of the mill metal by numbers or kids music like kerrang compilations for you. A few exceptions of course but you musta got lucky...
and I have no freakin clue about that kinda thing... It makes me sad I wanna see some good heavy stuff on sites like that.
Agalloch, or Jesu (who are more elecktronicky/experimental). :3
What will the "Coldplay fans" be in 10 years time?
but not checked them out cheers for the tip ;)
feel free to recommend me any of that crazy down-with-the-kids stuff you listen to. we're friends on lastfm.
I'm not quite sure what purpose Thrash Hits serves when you have the big name magazines like Kerrang!, Rock Sound and Metal Hammer all in existence.
Raz- does John write for Thrash Hits?
I'm only havin a dig cos he was being all sarcey about everyone being so 'alternative' in the last fm thread heheh
that's the difference you knob
i believe you chose to ignore my last.fm list... (pointed ellipses there FYI)
of course thrash hits isn't pushing any boundaries. that's why it's so successful! get with the clever!
and theeterscrimp that's like saying what's the point of DiS when there's NME, melody maker blah blah blah.
john? of course! john who?
and this thread was a joke. one for me anyway :D
I didn't see your last fm chart no
good luck with the cash monies
if you knew what i knew
so yeah I probibly would but out of more of my holes
And it wasn't a dig by the way, I was generally quite curious.
John Doran- I know he writes for The Quietus but wasn't sure if he does anything for Thrash Hits...
People read the NME.
it's too lowbrow for john
The thinking man's troll
if you think about it, people tend to listen to things they liked when they were younger when they get older, rather than keeping up with modern music, thus my dad likes genesis and my mum likes joni mitchell.
by this reasoning, i'll still be listening to Why? and Lightning Bolt when i'm old and decrepit.
that'll make for one funky dad.
will be fairly low on the list of 'things making her a funky dad' :-)
I love Coldplay now.
But you absolutely have a point. Plenty of times I see folks here spouting about how great some shitty band from the 80s is now "cool". (eg A-ha's Take On Me)
Cool as fuck.
THERE'S NO WAY, I"M INTO "EXPERMINENT:" MUSIC AND ALWAYS HAVE BEN SO WHY WOULD I CHANGE IT TO GO TO A COLDPLAY FAN??????
won't be going in ten years.
We can only hope anyway...
it is the soundtrack of aging and dying alone.
