Besides UK, USA AND Canada.
Who else is there?
Iceland punch well above their weight, fairly low number overall, but then there are more people in Plymouth than Iceland.
but add Jamaica
We just don't hear much of them over here because they sing in a different language.
I dont much like them, but i think they were brazillian, most countries seem to listen to english language music more than they do their own, or so it seems.
Isnt that just to do with the bias of our media?? not got the figures but I bet if you looked you'd find that most top sellers are in the native language surely??
adds credence to this theory.
if so, i think it's fairly even, maybe Ireland or France
But unless they already speak english, I mean i cant think of too many examples of bands that i listen to or people i know listen to that sing in another language, maybe Rammstein or Sigur Ros, thats all i can think of.
they're never going to come to scotland, are they?
I missed it too. David Keenan might get them up to Scotland if they ever come over.
If indeed you could fit David Keenan and more than one other person in the shop (I went today and you can't)
because the myspace sounded cool. It was a bit expensive but I bought it anyway so i'm never going to moan about the prices ever again ever. There's so much stuff in such a tiny space you forget what you've come in for :( He has a split with that Wavves fellow coming out apparently.
Mali would a good contender in terms of artists heard of in this country.
