Definitely one of those
Don't You Want Me
that it was Marvin Gaye
If so, can't beat that for footie-based, passion-instilling singalong.
twice in the original and once in the '98 version
I'll have that then.
Twice, in fact! I'd say the '98 version is my favourite.
singing about the only time you've ever tasted glory in a major tournament 42 years ago, and about an animal that isnt even found in the uk apart from in zoo's makes you feel REALLY patriotic....
its a fuckin hideous song suitably song by two fuckin morons
I could hear the Scottish accent when I was reading through it!
so true.... my accent sounds like james fae the twilight sad if he lived closer to glasgow lol
Step forward World in Motion by New Order.
World in Motion ain't all that. It might be football related, but England fans never sang it the way they sang 3 Lions. And still do, in fact. 3 Lions all the way. 96 version, obviously.
that is an excellent song which I somehow managed to miss off my list
I knew I'd forgotten something
in a row once.
It was like we were in Father Ted.
Except we were the only ones dancing.
Ghost Town innit.
yes, it is.
I love so many of the songs posted above, but this one is a masterpiece.
my second choice would be Oasis - Some Might Say, and
my third choice The Seekers - The Carnival is Over
its what i came into this thread to say. i would go so far as to say its one of the best songs ever. every time it is played its an event, i never get bored of blasting it out and having drunken singalongs as all of the people who like drum and bass sit there bemused, wondering to themselves "is this what real music sounds like" as i giggle maniacally and rejoice in the epic brilliance of this song. i dont really like queen that much, but this song is pure genius.
