I like listening to Patrick Wolf's Wind in the Wires when I'm out stomping over fields - what other albums are good?
Seriously though, I often do to, but sometimes I quite like getting lost in music when I'm rambling as well.
I kinda like ambient stuff.
Jasper Leyland he pretty much sounds like a guy potering around in a shed and the countryside.
EP1 is pretty tiiight.
Also I had a lovely experience walking through nature listening to Dustin O'Halloran's piano solos.
Especially if the weather's nice.
english psychedelic folk from 1967
Felt Mountain or Seventh Tree.
Or July Skies
I can hear the heart beating as one. To be used in Autumn only though
when I listened to 'Green Fields' on the Good Bad and the Queen album in a dewy forest at 6 in the morning. I didn't like them up until that point. Still don't really like them, but I understand that song perfectly now.
I've been listening to David Thomas Broughton a bit for the past couple of days, I think The Complete Guide to Insufficiency would work very well walking trying to get lost in your own head.
I'm going to go for more country walks when I'm back home.
long gone before daylight...works for me for some reason
