That was amazing
Go see Pivot
They are touring
He was equally amazed
Worriedaboutsatan where suporting as well :(
I have to drive an hour to pretty much any gig worth going to, maybe more if its in a big city like leeds...
I like the country alot though as well, just not for gigs... unless its a place called The Shed which is awsome and 15mins away in the car. I'm off there on the weekend to see some top class jazz mmmm nice
Looks like all drummers should look
Improv jazz-style drumming galore
he is the king of drums... probibly...
so I win
with them when I saw them at Truck. There were points when they could have been good, but instead they made it a bit wanky and shit.
on Warp records they make a kind of battles kinda noise
but more off-kilter in the drumming
I was being kinda general...
I still need to check out the album, Warp are out to bankrupt me I'm sure.
I'm literally wetting myself in anticipation for Tim Exile's new album :D
they make my wallet hurt
I don't have one!
for music money...
Hyperdub have 3 12" coming out soon too :-S
This evening was wankyless
Having never heard them before (my flatmate is a big fan) I was very impressed, really really good live.
I went to the gig to see the two support bands
and I think they are pretty fantastic. Much more powerful live than on record.
I was too lazy to go to the 100 club the other night. I am officially stupid.
Pivot are excellent.
Dave from the band is a true music buff - you'll see him at everything from Wolf Eyes shows, to DMZ nights.
Show at 100 Club was awesome. Alexa Chung was there.
I was really excited about seeing them and finally caught them at the ICA. It was a bit ... uninspired, like the sixth-form band trying to be Battles.
moments of greatness, moments where I tuned out. Sadly the record lacks a lot of the oomph the live set has...
There was a definite improvement (although I thought they were still good at the ICA).
