wicked band
Its a little bit to far south for me though, are they splitting up / taking a break?
I bloody love Tyrant...
the drummer moved to canada just after their last show a few months ago
i believe that this gig will have the drummer from The Display Team filling in
interesting
sounds like a wicked gig anyway dude have fun :)
Interesting
I'm supposed to be in New Malden that nightm which is just down the road...
AND all the other bands are freakn sweet obvs
catsx3, adebsei badass, blakfish and Our Own Devices, who i dont know but must be fucking sweet to be on that bill
AND worth noting
that DIG's stand in drummer is none other than DiS Musicians forum legend Gunthrie
...
...where the fuck is Kingston?*
*I know where Kingston is; I'm implying that it's too faraway and insignificant for me to travel to for any conceivable reason.
it takes less time than you'd think to get there
unless you stay too late and have to get a nightbus home. it takes well over 90 minutes to go from kingston to trafalgar square.
20 minute train from waterloo/vauxhall/wimbledon/clapham junction..
to kingston station. the fighting cocks is literally down the road from the station. the nightbus doesn't take 90 minutes, that's arse, it used to take me 45 minutes max to get to westminster from here before i moved to k-town.
it totally does!
i got it home after new slang a few weeks ago. we left kingston at 2:30am and got to trafalgar square just before 4, and that was on a thursday.
(although
it was better than one i got a few years ago that went over the thames THREE TIMES)
you would have been worse off if it'd only gone over twice
you would have been worse off if it'd only gone over twice
do you just get the worst buses ever?
srs. i used to get it like, twice weekly and it never took that long 95% of the time. the route it takes is like a trip through hell though.
maybe
i just remembered that i also got off in vauxhall to take a piss. still, i'd say 75 minutes minimum!
i'm doing it again on thursday, i will confirm ;)
i have done that before. it's a bad idea.
good call on coming thursday. it's going to be amazing. i'm on the flyer! internet fame at last.
i have friday off work
hello £2 jagers.
OMGOMGOMGOMGOGMGOMG
HOW DO I GET TO KINGSTON???
Must. See. DIG. Must. See. Adebisi.
trains run from waterlook
which venue is it? can't get onto facebook at work. the peel? that's kinda not near the station as i remember it.
some place called The Fighting Cocks.
see my post above.
it's real easy to get to.
Shit, I dunno if I can justify going to this. :'''(
a 2 hour trip there, then a 3 hour trip home (if I manage to catch the latest train) Fuck.
But it's Down I Go, my most favourite band EVER.
ARGH.
of course you're coming
doofus
gosh i really need to see them
but i have no money what with (hopefully) moving house :'( but i must, but i can't but i must!
i am
putting this on. the gig is also being filmed by BeatCast TV, they're doing most of our shows now.
Um, doors 7pm, damage £6 I think. Yeah.
The curfew is a strict 11pm so you should be able to make last trains really.
Also it's Collision club at Bacchus afterwards (which is ace) so you can make a night of it if you fancy braving the night bus.
PS. Dan, it NEVER takes 90 minutes, you're an eejit. :P
Apparently We're on First,
so come straight from work.
Kingston seriously takes no time at all to get to from town...
Argh
I face the journey from hell for this - Watford. But I so, so want to go.
Go on
It'll be funny...
