enjoyed sclub when i saw them, many many years ago...
yuck! also blur! :(
it was their gig at Elland Road earlier this year. The Enemy and Kate Nash were amongst the support and Chris Fucking Moyles even made an appearance. I'm still not convinced it wasn't all just a horrible nightmare that never happened because surely so many evil twats in one place is a sign of the end of the world or something?!
Oh, also saw All Amercian Rejects with a previous girlfriend and Towers of London supported. The shame
I don't really know why anyone would have a problem with seeing Blur, unless it was during them touring either Leisure or the Great Escape.
Leisure was released
both in the same evening. woe.
GOOD HEAVENS - i didnt even get a gobble out of it!
thought I was going to do myself a permanent injury solely through cringing
on cd in her flat during smooching
that was pretty bad
they are fucking horrible.
Were being stalked by this girl I was kinda seeing. These guys were fuck-awful. I retreated to the toilets halfway through and tried to poo instead. I understand the singer formed pathetic bed-wetters Aqualung and had a hit with a song on a car advert.
It's normally me who indoctrinates them with stuff.
though supported by girls aloud, who were pop-tastic.
file also with justin timberlake, awful times.
WTF was I thinking back then.
I <3 Less Than Jake. They're touring in November! :D :D :D
It's pretty good. Much better than the bobbins that was on In With The Out Crowd.
..ddi you have to go to one of his gigs?
fortunately i won at music most of the time, so we got to listen to the poppy punk rock and melodic hardcore i liked instead. yay?
so anyway, she dumped me.
and I'd already broken up with the girl.
Christ it was awful.
Also Shakespeare's Sister with a different girlfriend
that you wake some day
back in your own world
by some distance. Night and day she played that album.
Still, it's in the past now.
The worst thing is that ClicheGuevara didn't even put out.
and they're not even that bad! :)
...newton faulkner. i think it may have been revenge for her not appreciating me forcing her to watch aereogramme's last ever gig.
It was destined to fail
fuck me their bad.
but they only played for 20 minutes so I had quite a lucky escape
thanks to free Wireless festival tickets. Keane were OK, as it goes. However, seeing James Blunt covering "Where Is My Mind?" is something nobody should have to go through. Yes, I know I've told this story before.
I've seen Placebo do it and I thought that was bad.
i'm so sorry.
which isn't too bad - what is bad, however, is being made to leave iLiKETRAiNS and Dinosaur Jr shows early.
That was a painful evening of my life.
I took her to see The Pogues... hardly a fair trade.
A friend who I had quite a big crush on had a spare ticket and I duly obliged, during the show I looked over and she had tears pouring down her face so I became an ornamental tissue provider for the evening (like the seats at raymond revue bar! gnarf gnarf). I was oblivious to the emotional content of what sounded like blue whales shagging. A few years later she flippantly commented in conversation, "oh I do think you're *gorgeous*, didn't you know?". And proceeded to call me gay for half an hour because I hadn't taken advantage of her frail emotional state at the time. I think the whole experience made me hate sigur ros even more.
I blagged tix for a first date thinking it would impress her going to a gig before a clubnight out but she loved those fake bastards and I had to take her to every London show they did for two years. The last time was at Brixton Academy when I could stand it no more and had two pints on the go all night long as all i could do was get mashed to fuck. Cue end of relationship but they're still going stronger than ever. Why/
and a whole load of screamo tosh that I didn't even like as a 17 year old who liked emo tosh
to the soundtrack of Franz Ferdinand's debut album
Not a particularly bad album, not a particularly great one either, but one which will forever be tainted with the memory of that evening. Oh dear god.
BURN THIS CITY.
I don't date idiots.
And I took him to see Jens Lekman. The bloody bastard.
and she came to see the breeders when we first started dating. It was also the first time she met my friends.
I listened to Sonic youth for most of AJ on my walkman, except some Japanese girl ripped the headphones out when she realised what I was doing.
Ripped your earphones out!! That is outrageous! Not only invading your personal space to rip them out, but making you listen to that tosh. Terrible behaviour! tut tut.
I didn't even fancy the girl at the time. I bought the tickets for her birthday/valentines and then she kissed a boy so I dumped her.
We decided to still go anyway and it was shit.
Another girl: Cage the Elephant
And Enter Shikari are too.
id been going out with my missus for three months and she knew i was 'into music' so she bought us tickets to see them in Newcastle. She cried when they played 'i see you, you see me' which was lovely, even better my bitch ex-girlfriend was standing right next to us watching us kiss.
horrendous pop-punk piss stain of a band.
It was horrible
at Brixton Windmill recently.
But luckily it sold out. I had to conceal my manic delight with a serious show of restraint.
i've been the major music fan in all my relationships. i've made a few girls/boys see bands they wouldn't have otherwise seen. i'm mostly drawn to people who don't care/don't know about music/popular culture. opposites attract and all that.....
Literally the worst 45 minutes of my life
on our first date.she still hasn't forgiven me.my ex girlfriend took me to see the darkness.thats why she's my ex
Tickets bought whilst we were still going out, then decided to split, but still went. This was at the end of a five year relationship so I should have just fucked it off. It was horrendous, right up there with worst gigs ever, and certainly the smuggest.
