Long queues to get in to venues? Schedule accuracy?
Going tonight and wondering what is in store........
i can't find it on c & g site...
so keep your eyes open
and there really weren't any queues. Though tonight is bound to be different.
really enjoyed Mechanical Bride.
Saw 5 bands, enjoyed 2 (Errors & Bodies Of Water). Venues busy but no queues. Not going tonight.
The schedule in the booklet you get was inaccurate, and the one from the website had several [tbc] plus some changes since. There were bits of paper on the wall of each venue telling you who plays when.
The schedule application on the website dissapeared from the website yesterday and has yet to reappear. So what waste of time that was.
they'll put tonights schedule on the site lunchtime'ish - hopefully!
of the brazilian favela, it's just around the corner from the old blue last, four big screens show you a walk though a run down neighbourhood, it's quite interesting, makes you feel like you're almost there, also hung out at the sound installation in Arnold circus, both are free. want to do more...
also ended up just going to hoxton sq bar where they let people in to just that venue, saw Bodies of Water and O'Death, both were really great, O'Death especially put on quite a show...
If anyone's got a spare wristband to unload pn me, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the shows tonight...
Errors where fucking amazing and worth the entry price alone. So much fun. I'm going to see Truckers of Husk then camp out at Cargo for TV on the Radio. I've never really been into them but my housemate got Dear Science yesterday so I gave it a whirl and it's really good.
got to rough trade east around 5.30 to get my wristband - they were helpful there and pointed out the (very minor) changes to the schedule given in the free programme - these were clearly available on posters on a schedule outside rough trade east and most of the venues.
i spent most of the night at Cargo, no queues, and spent a few songs at both Strongroom and Hoxton Bar and Kitchen..... the latter was very busy during bodies of water (at least towards the back), but no queues.
sure there's a few annoying things (e.g. TVOTR moving to Cargo) but I think largely they've kept us well informed.
a few venues overran, but no more than usual for a normal show.
on C&Gs website.... it says Cargo doors are open at 7 but the live room of Cargo's doors are open at 9...
bugger, dont know what do to... camp out or go and see some bands. I want to see Sky Larkin but they finish at 93 feet east at 8.45.... gah!
the guys at the wristband stall told me they've scrapped the original cargo line-up for tomorrow - so I'm not sure how that's going to work given they sold individual tickets for the original show for tomorrow. a bit nervous about getting into TVOTR.
