can anyone recommend good new british hardcore bands? i am VERY ignorant atm.
They're form Liverpool, they're awesome. It's fairly straight forward hardcore, great stuff.
I assume you already know of The Steal, so.........
Cutting Class (Leeds)
Little Flags (Southampton)
Our Time Down Here (Southampton)
Attack Vipers (Portsmouth)
Lower Than Atlantis (Watford)

p.s (best of all): The Steal (New album coming soon!!!)
The Steal are awesome - good call Alex!
How many different accounts do you have?
Most of those guys would pay for petrol money, somewhere to kip and a hot meal.
Hardcore and hardcore punk are one and the same.
I wish the born in the skinny jean/fashion hair brigade (and I'm not suggesting you're a member) would realise this.
cuz you get hardcore metal, hardcore house, hardcore everything as well as hardcore punk. <3 stupid sub genres
hardcore was an abbreviation of hardcore punk. however these days there the scene has created so many new "hardcore" sub genres that it would, if anything, make more sense to make hardcore and hardcore punk 2 different genres. but obviously everyone has had this conversation countless amounts of times on these boards, was simply displaying my opionion.
Throats + Maths released a good split a few months ago on Holy Roar.
Also on Holy Roar is Tortuga, who are pretty good, and ive seen them quite a few times now in Norwich.
Dirty Money are good too
it isn't good though - it's AWESOME.
I would go a long way to see either band.
I caught Rolo when they were first starting out, one of their first tours. Awesome then as they are now.
i've never actually listened to them, but he wears camo shorts, has stretched ears, tattoos, wears wife-beaters and people flap around at their gigs, so i'm assuming they're xHARDCOREx
I don't really know what hardcore is.
Mob Rules have an astonishing 7" out right now.
all seconded and for something a little more metally
who are getting increasingly phenomenal live
no myspace (too punk for that, arf) but there's a song from their demo here
How is Mikey making those noises?
you should definitely buy their demo if you don't have it already
it's on a black cd that looks like vinyl that looks great
Met their bookings manager at Gay for Johnny Depp.
Also No Dice - http://www.myspace.com/nodicehardcore
Amazing fast old school Negative Approach-esque hardcore!
We Heart Records for loads of experimental british hardcore etc.
they have released a few of my own bands eps so it's a slight jag, apologies for that.
definately worth checking out mind, they released the latest ATTACK! VIPERS! split, as well as new cornish scamps CROCUS
with a bunch of We Heart stuff, some really good stuff.
yeah saw lavotchkin on that tour, they were wicked.
and there was a human pyramid for Lavotchkin.
Rock n roll, man.
They are good, and thats just reminded me to buy the ep.
TGOAT are awesome
For the love of God, The Steal! www.myspace.com/thesteal
theyre not hardcore...
These guys are seriously good.
and throats would be my choice. Not that into the genre (Bit contrived) but their gigs have both been good/fun/loud.
You know it. Banging rock rom Glasgow.
are pretty good. Kind of like a more post-rocky His Hero is Gone

Jesus of Spazzareth -www.myspace.com/jesusofspazzarethband
http://www.myspace.com/ultimatethrush "Amazing arty spazz core somewhere between early-Locust, Wives and Captain Beefheart." apparently.
Cos they should have.
Pretty thunderous: www.myspace.com/wetheaccursed
hardcore bands have silly names like Burning The Prospect, Fall of Efrafa, The Arusha Accord, Ghost of a Thousand. They're not the most annoying ones but still annoying. Anyone?
the 7" is unreal.
my friends the drummer, they just got signed to thirty days of night, but thats not really an indication of what they sound like... think cursed/old man gloom etc.
really good too and are all proper young, remind me of 'no heroes' era converge.
my band. we just wish we were minor threat (any 80's hardcore band would suffice)
get over it, all pail copies of old semi good US bands, painful...
cos i saw them last night and they're still pretty hot
lower than atlantis
not to mention gallows
plus the steal, this city, ghost of a thousand & hexes are very good!
all those bands sound pretty much the same (with the exception of new gallows stuff)
theyre ok... but there better stuff about imo
Deal With It
Kartel are probably the best UK Beatdown Hardcore band www.myspace.com/kartellbu
Crazy Arm are very good too, and Down i go Obviously but not really sure what kind of -core they are from song to song
my band is always called hardcore or post hardcore but in a more DC kind of way www.myspace.com/thedissociates apologies for JAG/self promotion
Reformed, writing new material, sorting out a split, we'll be playing shows soon and just generally having it.
some of you have got it right Kartel, ninebar, SFD all sick hardcore bands but a bit more metal.
kids talking about the arusha accord being hardcore?hahaha
you have got a clue hardcore is dirty money, LAST WITNESS, war hungry, breaking point, pay no respect, trapped under ice, reign spreme, 50 lions, DTN, new morality, iron age, cruel hand.
to be fair i shouldnt care because half of you skinny jeaned long haired dicks ruin shows for everyone else and ruin bands
telling me what punk is.
I like hardcore. also "New Morality", awesome, I really want to know what that is about, short hair and funny dancing right?
suck my dick
PUNCHING PEOPLE IS PUNK ROCK
I've seen quite few incarnations of hardcore in days. The latest one is even further from what I consider to be hardcore.
Still grow up and go listen to some Vision of Disorder.
you should probably have a better understand of hardcore than just new wave bands. everyone has this argument. im not saying the bands you've just mentioned arent hardcore as every genre progresses but theyre still very metallic. hardcore is an abbreviation of hardcore punk. go listen to Deep Wound.
because you really have no clue on life if you disregard someones opinion because of their age
i wanna tickle your furry belly and scratch you under the chin
but What Price, Wonderland are pretty awesome www.myspace.com/whatpricewonderland
also Nitkowski are worth checking out: www.myspace.com/nitkowski
Architects (a little 'scene' for some but Hollow Crown is brilliant)
The Ghost of a Thousand (why the fuck aren't this band massive, they're ace.)
Can't believe they've only just been mentioned. 'Scene' accusations be damned, they're fantastic.
Outcry Collective: http://www.myspace.com/outcrycollective
Singer is a old friend of mine and possiblely the nicest guy you'd ever meet. Not strictly hardcore but they are doing the rounds with blakfish and gay for johnny depp at the moment I think.
are absolutely my favourite band in the uk at the moment. i would point everyone in the direction of the sceptres (not strictly hardcore, but they sound like X)
really fast ang good stuff!
where are they now?! I miss them...
lots of good ones, but barely any are 'hardcore' at all. nevertheless people should check them out :)
haha, i see you've been checking out chinchilla tone. I'm imagining David Thomas Broughton's new hardcore album is going to be immense ;)
Played with Stampin Ground, Knuckledust with a split 7" on Household Name Records in 1997
Drummer sounds GREAT for a 16 year old
baptists (i'm doing a demo for them in the next week or two)
theres a load more but i cant think very well right now
all really good too
Rise and Fall
Devil Sold His Soul
Ghost of a Thousand
Hang the Bastard
Pay No Respect
Brutality Will Prevail
Our Time Down Here
Dead in the Woods

A nice assortment of them so to speak...
We try to gig as much as we can to escape it!
Leicester is okay if you like crap sprawling shopping centres (and who doesn't) Although, there does seem to be more going on here recently.
Are fucking brilliant.

Dead in the Woods
Gruel (rest in peace...more doomy..but more importantly, LOUD)
Can't wait for Offset this weekend...gonna be fun catching up with folk.

They were so good. Their album is easily one of my favs of the last few years.
