My ears...my poor fucking ears...
The idea of this has put me off going to lunch...
And I love the original.
Please tell me this is a wind up.
if mtv2 didn't absolutely hammer it when it came out in '02
musically it was alright. The guitar was a bit limp (t'was acoustic for the live lounge) and the drums suffered from not being played by Dave Grohl, but i have to admit it was respectable.
But then Johnny Borrel warbled all over it like some kind of drunk kareoke singer having a nervous breakdown. Paniful. Just painful.
had anyone notivced they went from playing plymouth pavilions, exeter westpoint and headlining reading, to back down to exeter university great hall. talk about losing fans.
none of the 'indie' kids like them any more. the mums of britain who like them wont go see them live.
they've made the jump from indie darlings to mainstream success, so they've got it made now. All they have to do is maintain a consistent standard of bland mediocrity and they'll be doing the stadium rounds until Borrel inevitably goes solo.
I wanna see josh homme insult borrel and rough him up a bit
(It gets going at about 1.30 for those of you that don't like arch banter)
I thought only razorlight fans listened to daytime Radio 1?
who work with Razorlight fans.
As I'm typing this, it's getting played again. Oh joy.
Even the 'light fans in the office reckon his voice is shit on this, but they're happy to chalk it up to "an off day."
so i suppose this will be shit too
No, because I'd rather drink poo than listen to Radio One.
Clichéd I know.
I think I'll start a thread about how I quite like the new TV on the Radio album next.
