Love this little blog about EotR. Remains my favourite show in a very long time.
Best outdoor festival I've been to i think. Parrots <3
But yes I couldnt have loved the festival more too. I thought I was done with non-ATP camping type affairs but this was everything I want from a festival. I felt completely justified in my constant slagging off of Glastonbury (and not going this year) and doing this instead.
but I saw him in the church on tottenham court road which was awesome too. Dunno my stand out, lots of good stuff.
Thought wildbirds were amazing, after Calexico I thought I was done, but really impressed.
There was some upbeat stuff I felt - Akron/Family have their moments, and a fair amount of the bimble inn stuff was a sharper pace than the garden stage.
Dunno if I'll go next year, want to see some early line up, but I'm very very tempted.
to be *whisper* a little bit boring.
I knew what to expect and all but i found alot of the acts a bit one-paced and longed for something slightly more energetic and uptempo.
Obviously, i saw the bill and knew the score but i just yearned for someone to really blow me away and no-one did.
I actually found the opposite. Thought it was going to be back to back whimsical one paced acoustic rubbings, but found way more depth than I was expecting. Helps if you only see about five bands at any given festival though.
I regret nothing.
but my house/bandmate really wanted to see Bon Iver so i thought I'd be a bit sociable.
I want to see seabear when they next tour though.
for Bon Iver to hear a couple of songs and see what all the fuss was about and was thoroughly bored.
were a bit borin' at eotr. highlight of the fest? the guy from low trying to sluaughter his fans with his guitar.
