Dear, Science is fucking great. The more you listen to this album, the better it becomes.
I tried licking the CD and it tastes shit.
maybe i should have elaborated more, but i really cant be fucked.
lets just say i wasnt a fan of it at first. but now i am.
although I'm not in love with it just yet its just better than I first thought.
Dear Science is a masterpiece.
was such a big fan of cookie. every song sounds like something ive heard before and the choruses for dancing choose and golden age just dont sound right.
if you still have any doubts of Dear Science's genius
i queued and queued outside cargo. so pissed off with concrete and glass. Dear science really doesnt match up again return to cookie mountain.
what time did you start queuing? the whole thing was a shambles wasn't it. very very disappointed.
my friend commented that concrete and glass was a great name cos that's all we got to see, concrete and glass.
i'll definitely be complaining. i encourage others to do the same!
no chance of getting in so i went bout 12. they shouldve known most people were there to see tv on the radio. why didnt they move them to a bigger venue or stick another big artist on at the same time like festivals do.
I doubt they'd have been able to find anyone willing (or able) to compete. The last minute loss of the car park venue would have seriously limited their options of finding somewhere else of a similar size.
Managed to get a ticket in the end but didn't go last night, because I knew that by the time I was going to get there (11.30) I wouldn't have gotten in. Sad I didn't get to see them, or go star spotting, but considering the amount of media people about I'm sure there'll be a few million photos and reviews kicking about soon enough. Just to tell me how triple-awesome it was.
Originally it was going to be called "Dear Science," but was released as "Dear Science"
that it almost unbalances the album.
But yet, like any sensible person, I will wait for about a year to cast a firm judgement. Sounds pretty decent so far.
But otherwise, yes, Dear Science is pretty much as immediate as RTCM.. and therefore needs a bit of work..
Better than the previous time easily.
Dreams was magical, worth going alone. Shout Me Out was incredible live, and Young Liars was just a treat. And of course, Wolf Like Me made the whole crowd stomp. Energetic, sweaty, noisy, fun. That's what a rock and roll gig should be.
And I was stood next to Mischa hot-as-fuck Barton for a bit without realising who she was. Fiona saw her and Josh Hartnett at the bar and told me, and then it dawned. Star studded or what?!
Pretty much the best gig of my life
but I am too prone to generalisation anyway.
are you kidding??? for those that got in, the chance to see them in such an intimate space was amazing, very rare you'll get a chance to see them like that these days considering they're now touring the carling venues. i feel bad for those that queued for hours and still couldn't get in though.
but i pressed abandon reply :(
anyway, we went to cargo and stayed and drank there from 7.30. Got to the front but retreat after a few songs (cause they re-deployed their bouncer people and it made it impossible to actually stand up at the front of the stage...)
Anyway, it was awesome. it was worth sitting through two very meh electronica acts and Telepathe (who need to really learn that arty music still needs to be GOOD). The sound was pretty good and it was kinda fun to be back in a hot sweaty intimate gig.. the highlights for me were probably Dreams, Shout Me Out and Dirty Whirlwind.... Anyway. Good times. But I'm looking forward to a non-hasselfilled Shepherds Bush Gig
also there were lots of fun people. We met someone who was down from Nottingham and a few random fun people. I also met Huw Stephens in Rough Trade East too :)
And I like Tv On the Radio.
I was unconvinced at first but it's now competing strongly for my No.1 album of the year accolade.
is it time for another concidering its like 3/4 way thru the year...
I think we should wait until December now.
