Johnny Cash - I Hung My Head
from 'Wide Awake It's Morning', I don't know which song though, it could be any of about 5.
Actually the only song that's ever made me cry, but it's happened on the record, and both times i've seen them
But yes, it is a wonderfully tragic song.
dont make me cry
I do. The last time I cried during a song was Your Hand In Mine by EITS, two years ago. That bit in Friday Night Lights where they lose at the last hurdle :'(
right... Your Hand In Mine is probably the most heart-wrenching track since Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa... both epic epic songs that everytime i've seen live have made me glaze over and everytime on record i get mega goosebumps.
I'm emotionally retarded
This is his cover of a Sting song, isn't it? I could list you a few dozen other Sting songs that have made me want to cry....
gets me everytime
This Will Destroy You on a comedown yesterday. Girl on mind.
I just felt dead sad
At a gig aswell. I'm clearly a massive pussy.
it's a version of Happy Birthday by Tender Forever, that my sister recorded for me. I'm clearly an even massiver pussy.
sang his audition song to his dead wife. I was a flipping mess. Real talk.
would sell a kidney to be able to experience that mans voice first hand. then there's the Smiths cover...
By Dylan. Always gets me for some reason.
'same shade as concrete'
so beautiful at the end that it made me cry on the tube when i was on the way to work.
i need a new job
because i wasn't listening to the lyrics properly and thought the brown bird died. but it doesn't. yay!
Cos it's just 'there', repeating itself quietly. It strangely affects me.
"Never very good at goodbyes.
So, gentle shoulder charge.
Love you, mate."
