Getting on my fucking tits now.
So I still like it as far as I know...
all my lot are like, "we have to watch boniver" and it's like. no!
there'll be something better on!
gon on about all the time. give it a fucking rest!
Bon Iver is quite amazing and actually has some emotion in his music.
we don't sound like beirut any more, thank fuck!
To be fair, I don't think 'For Emma' was a great choice of single in the first place.
it's only a matter of time for bon iver, i fear
still crack it on every hour and again & I still stick by 110% garuntee seeing him live, hes a corker of a live musician and his voice is stunning.
I heared in the pub the other day whilst sipping on a cappachino, I felt stupidly middle class but hey, I liked it!
I've listened to the album an unhealthy amount of times.
and so he's not one of my real stand out artists this year when at one point he was at the top. Maybe he's still quite up there
but bored now. album did not have enough staying power for me.
i think it kind of had the same affect on most people. Not in a pretentious way but a lot of people loved it at first but then it kind of faded. Maybe he's just that kind of artist
a lot of nonsense. sounds like too many people afraid to like him because a/ now he's being played on the radio b/ it's somehow middleclass and cosy to like an acoustic singer songwriter break up album.
the live show tonight was brilliant. loud and raw. three drummers for skinny love, superb. brilliant talk talk and graham nash covers too. stellar night. roll on stevie wonder tomorrow.
he got a hell of alot of love on here when the album came out. And I don't think many people on here care if he is on the radio or even really listen to the radio. There was always people sayin he is rubbish coffee table middle classic music though.
That live show sounds fantastic I am yet to have the pleasure of hearing him live. I still like the CD but haven't really felt like hearing it for a long time.
I still think it's a great album. For me, it's hard to judge what 'kind' of artist he is after just this one release (as Bon Iver, anyway). But listening to any album on constant repeat can get tedious- too much of a good thing!
