tours in October/November/December?
And everyone who's no-one tours on the other non-festival months?
all of the UKs main cities being full of students that have just recieved a tasty slab of student loan.
I thought it might have something to do with the new intake of freshers at our country's universities, freshly out of their parents homes with a wallet-full of student loan money and aspirations to be the biggest party-animal on campus. But then the world does not revolve around students.
Alternatively, it might have something to do with all the festivals being in the summer, then whilst the bands are still (vaguely) fresh in the festival goers mind the managers ensure the big bands go on massive UK tours to refresh everyone's memory of how great they were at [enter festival here]
These are both speculative theories, however.
Tickets for these tours tend to go onsale shortly after festival season. August, September.

15 gigs I want to go to in the next two or three months (September-November for me, not really December). Will try and see how many I can go to- depending on money and energy.
