if not, you should probably stop listening to music right now..
this is particularly sweet as the guitarist of the cbs orchestra does a total smug bastard, status quo-lite solo. then j just drowns him out with a fucking beast <3
in the history of everything.
Whilst I have been moved, elated or sent into rapture by a decent guitar solo. Crying is not an emotion that pops up when I listen to guitar solos, not even listening to the likes of Maggot Brain. Lets put this perspective, I'll cry if something happens to someone i care but not over a guitar solo.
Crying is for sissies and girls.
seriously though, I cried to Joanna Newsom a lil bit. As much as I love a good guitar solo iv seen none that have made me cry.
i cry at actual emotional events, such as deaths and shit. plus, im not an late 80s/early 90s retard.
although the solo on purple rain is awesome
i'm heterosexual, and using gay as an insult is retarded. you're retarded.
Blubber like a baby everytime I hear it
he hardly even plays any notes
the one in For Real by Okkervil River is up there though. Also, most of the solos on the Blue album.
speaking of Pavement, what about the guitar solo at the end of Infinite Spark? Actually, I think THAT'S my favourite.
but Maggot Brain does make me sad. And when the Earth guy launched into a semi solo the first time I saw them I was 'moved' and felt a bit like I was going to cry. But then I didn't. Because i'm a man. With a man's courage. Nothing but a man. Who can never fail.
*clasps mug_mug_mug to chest*
let it all out
you're the lolmaster
infinite solo-ing, amazing.
also the ending of Fin by pavement (technically an outro i guess)
I cried when the guitar teacher got the second Def Leppard solo out of his bag. Needles to say I stopped guitar lessons soon after that.
Hardly the biggest weepie in the world, but this one always gets to me because it reminds me of being 13 and happy and going swimming in the river in the park and throwing silt at people.
