my dad's been to see and enjoyed john coltrane, at the drive-in and fuck buttons. this makes me laugh.
We went to see X-Ray spex together last weekend, and she listens to Cocteau Twins and some other cool stuff. My Dad's taste is superb, he's got me into The Fall, Throbbing Gristle, Burial, Birthday Party, Devo, Otto Von Schirach...I'm very grateful for that.
I can't even comprehend how different our lives must be.
But he's well into Burial, he's the sort of person who buys me the album for my birthday, knowing that if I don't like it can nab it off me on a permanent loan.
Well, I'm not too sure about their Mum come to think of it, but their Dad is pretty sound.
Has TWO rooms of his house full of vinyl and CDs. It was like musical Narnia. My Dad likes Cat Stevens, Harvey Andrews and Katie Melua..

He's into Fugazi(!), Will Oldham, Songs Ohia, Joanna Newsom.
He drove me and my friends to see Will Oldham last time.
