Get the thread rolling (two nights ago centric): Enablers.
to see God is an Astronaut to the end at the Brudenell in Leeds back in April. Ended up walking 5 miles home, although looking back I'm not sure why I didn't get a taxi!
Worth it though, they were amazing, the gig immediately leapt into my top 5!
I still don't regret having to wait around for nigh on 4 hours to get the first train home.
I missed the last train from Cardiff back towards Southampton when Radiohead were touring OK Computer... didn't even make it inside the station, as it was locked, so in November (or December, I forget), me and my now fiancee huddled at a bus stop 'til 5 or so in the morning... BAD TIMES.
Joeyfat at the Silver Rocket all dayer last year, well worth it, last london gig in an age type situation...
Train was at 11, next train was 4am, decided to miss the 11pm one and spend a cold night wandering around Manchester.
The gig was bloody brilliant though, so no complaints.
and I missed my last train when Mark Stewart and the Maffia played their second set at the RFH this year.
well, had to sleep in manchester for some reason. It's all a little bit of a hazy memory now
after okkervil river at the scala in february.
but i slept in a cupboard under the stairs in a block of flats so its all good.
65daysofstatic, los campesinos and the dillinger escape plan- this is due to the fact that the last train from newcastle to durham is at 10:45 :(
twice i slept in the train station and t'other i luckily found 2 other people from durham who were completely wasted and agreed to pay for my share of a taxi home! good times.
after seeing Yndi Halda, Catsx3 and others at Cargo for an alldayer last year. I slept in Victoria Train Station and paid £160 to get me and my mate home the next day. Then hallucinated from lack of sleep on the train. Bad, bad times.
bad times indeed
for spending all that money and putting yourself through all the shit for bands that tour the UK every other week.
I would happily put myself through that for those bands, martwizzle.
I didn't wanna see you get ganged-up on, it's just mean.
Yndi had only been north of the border once and didn't look like they'd be back any time soon, which they haven't been.
I nearly missed my train after seeing Weezer in Manchester a few years ago, but luckily after a lengthy sprint to the station, I made it with seconds to spare.
Demon Days show - was incredible
Manchester to London. I really just wandered for the night.
'A' reformed for one night only, Botch.
for the raveonettes. when seeing islands, my ex and i sprinted to the subway station with seconds to spare!
the raveonettes were totally worth the cab fare. islands would not have been.
...I missed the last train home after watching Johnny Foreinger in Birmingham. They were on stage the same time as the last train back home. Well worth it though even if I had to sleep outside of New Street Station!
But the promoter let me kip on his floor.
I also missed the last tube after Lightning Bolt at the Luminaire.
But I imagine everyone did that night.
Saying that, it's not hard when the trains finish at 9 o'fucking clock, back to Cov!
there all dirty apart from the disabled ones.
