mine is The Hold Steady, closely followed by Interpol...
probably because the songs are pretty short!
even further by miles if you add on the kevin drew and brendan canning solo album plays
Although if you added together the various projects of Jonah Matranga he'd overtake by quite a way.
at almost double the second placed artist. its cos their songs are about 2 mins long and there are 20 on each album.
are REM / Jimmy Eat World / The Hold Steady.
Johnny Foreigner are winning in the 'last 3 months' chart and Why? break the top 3 in the 'last 6 months'.
even though they're far from my favourite band (I still think they're great), they are way ahead of any others.
please would you tell me some more about parenthetical girls, i've heard 'four words' and i think i would like them a lot. which album would you recommend to begin with?
safe as houses x 10000.
thank you, i've been listening a bit more on Hype, i really really like it. I've been inundated with music i really should have listened to a while ago this weekend (andrew bird! <3<3<3) it's been awesome.
think i remember hearing they'll be a scottish date :)
i'm currently trying to sort out putting them on in leeds
safe as houses is seriously in my top 10 records ever, and entanglements is out in two days! eee
always nice to have a visit. You'll need to let me know when you're putting things on, i'm always up for an adventure down the east coast!
(i'm downloading it right now, bad i know, but i will buy it too :D)
by a few hundred, followed by Hot Water Music and then erm Poison The Well*
I guess it would be different if I had the plug in thingy for my ipod as well.
*I haven't listened to them in about two years.
followed by Modest Mouse
with tnv not far behind
by quite some distance.
Interesting...I usually have my itunes on random, but I tend to listen to a Girl Talk album in its entirety, hence the high number of plays.
by about 1000.
by a country mile.
by a whisker.
by quite a way, probably due to the length of their songs, followed by Garrison.
He's no.1 followed by Radiohead then Fugazi.
Down I Go! by a country mile. Helps that all their songs are about a minute long.
In fact, they make up over 10% of my 'scrobbles'
Weird, cos I haven't listened to them for ages. Tbf I totally caned both Weirdo Rippers and Nouns when I got them.
for some reason
with Calexico in hot pursuit
closely followed by MBV and Sonic Youth
with Why? close behind
NY & Crazy Horse are further down, with NY & the Restless, and NY & The Shocking Pinks further down again.
I played Rated R into submission
soon to be country miles ahead when i get nights out
with Deerhunter trying their upmost to catch up
I don't think they'll be anywhere near the top though as I don't like overplaying them!
but Microcastles is probably my 2nd top listened to album now, after Loveless
we have high compatibility.
Broken Social Scene
Followed by 65daysofstatic, then Daft Punk.
exactly 200 plays ahead of GBV. To be honest I barely listen to half of the bands in my top 50, but I listen to so much more stuff than I used to it takes ages for new artists to break in there.
Not that I give it much thought, just saying.
on 1395, about 120 ahead of #2.
also it works out as 2.45% of my total plays. FASCINATING.
it was around 10% of the total. lolz
followed by Crystal Castles, then Banjo Or Freakout
and The Durutti Column
I must be a romantic would-be goth.
The Hidden Cameras
New Order, Manics and R.E.M.
Looking to the future then.
The National by a country mile, Followed by Marissa Nadler by a kilometre, followed by Final Fantasy and Radiohead (roughly neck and neck)
1 Radiohead 1,733
2 Animal Collective 1,075
3 Modest Mouse 955
4 The Shins 715
5 David Bowie 692
The Fall 311
Les Savy Fav 211
and Magnetic Fields 183
Talking Heads and Oneida are quite close behind, though.
because i'm like that
Then Modest Mouse..
and I was scared it was going to be Nickelback.
Mine's currently showing the Dead Kennedys - crikey
and i was scared it was going to be coldplay or radiohead
