Examples of albums, and if you feel up to it,reasons as well
not what i had in mind.
And why would you want to make yourself more agitated listening to Slayer?
"No need to run or hide, its a wonderful wonderful life".
the ugly organ
thats about as heavy/angry as I get really. maybe i'd turn the volume up way loud though.
Converge - You Fail Me
Hot Snakes - Suicide Invoice
Black Flag - My War
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
Shellac - 1000 Hurts
pretty obvious and cliched answers, but nevermind.
is that the black flag album with guns on it?
no man,i meant the song 'Guns'!
and i have no idea what record that track is on. i thought i had most of their records, and i've never heard that song, which is why i was confused.
no,i'm not so sure is it black flag actually.
it could be rollins band.
And anything involving Steve Albini. Natch
So no answer.
So I can shout along to Tired of Sex and Getchoo and No Other One and Why Bother? all angst, but ultimately feel better because it's so FUUUUUN
IT'S TIME I GOT BACK! IT'S TIME I GOT BACK! AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW I GOT OFF THE TRACK! IT'S TIME I GOT BACK, YEEEEEAH!
SCREW THIS CRAP! I'VE HAD IT! (I'VE HAD IT!)
You're welcome, anyway :)
not really, I can't listen to music when pissed off.
Perfect Teenhood is a good angry song
i'll follow it up
for when I want to get out of the mood, but when I want to stew in it one of these -
Modern Life Is War - Witness
The Hope Conspiracy - Death Knows Your Name
As The Sun Sets
Stuff like that, y'know
Transistor Transistor- Erase All Name And Likeness
Any Cursed album
Fugazi- In On The Kill Taker
All good bedroom stompers. Cursed is particularly good. After about 5 minutes of III I'm convinced the world is irredeemably shite, but I'm screaming, so it's fine.
i wouldn't have said they were that angry.
i'll deffo get that one so
As Fugazi's most noisy album, and I'd say their angriest. It's an absolute ball of energy that album. It's a real classic.
it's on the list!
is boss. Friends In The Music Business is fantastic, part of the soundtrack to many a post-work grumpy walk home
i have every converge album,so stop recomending them,ok?
get that pissed off any more, but I when I was at uni my flatmates fucked me right off. I used to put on Roni Size's New Forms full blast because I knew they hated it, I wasn't even that big a drum n bass fan, but the fact that they were seething next door calmed me down.
or Everything You Wanted To Know About Silence
but i've never known where to start with glassjaw.
is that a good one to start on so?
its a hell of a lot more angrier than Worship And Tribute, but both albums are absolute quality
For songs go for Lovebites And Razorlines, Siberian Kiss, Pretty Lush, Pink Roses, Radio Cambodia, Tip Your Bartender and Stuck Pig
what do you listen to if you're angry at yourself? something really awful?
I'm never usually pissed off for more than a few minutes at a time.
If I'm feeling heartbroken and shattered on the floor, I listen to Ryan McAdams. 29 or LIH.
by dream city film club. Full of bile.
I think it's called Elite.
it's on my car stereo (an ocean between us) - makes the journey home from weeeeeerrrch like therapy so I can actually be civil to people when I get home
but in general it varies by mood - sometimes I want something saccharine to lift my spirits, and strangely enough sometimes listening to some Anti-Pop consortium makes me swagger out of any bad-minded funk I might be in. Go try!
I'd also say Circle Takes The Square, I Hate Sally, Eden Maine and erm...Bring Me The Horizon
like Do Make Say Think - any album. I prefer songs without lyrics as it's all too easy to pin what you're feeling onto those words, and then remember why you were pissed off when you listen to it in other moods.
so i can get my groove on while pretending to understand the lyrics in an angry fashion
I stalked the streets of Middlesbrough listening to Hissing Prigs in Static Couture by Brainiac.
Arc Tan Gent
The Manics - The Holy Bible
Fuck Buttons - Street Horrrsing
Muse - Origin Of Symmetry
Black Flag - The First Four Years
Joy Divsion - Unknown Pleasures
The Swarm - Old Blue Eyes is Dead
Cut The Shit - Harmed and Dangerous
Flipper - Blow'n Chunks
Eyehategod - Dopestick
Unbroken - Life. Love. Regret
Just loads of Hardcore, Crust and Power Violence will do it.
no means no - wrong
especially for 'its catching up', I love that song
hardcore techno.... not your fuckin bonkers cd bullshit but real industrial strength records...
disciples of annihilation
or anything on bloody fist records
this type of stuff makes even the heaviest of metal sound like kiddies playin on xylophones
but converge-no heroes makes me want to break thing.and im not even an aggressive person.that album is fucking amazing
By the pixies, usually does me!
Converge- Jane Doe
Alec Empire- Intelligence and Sacrifice
Always works a treat.
Intelligence and Sacrifice is the best song for releasing my pent up anger.
the ox scapula 7" is pretty angry as well
