is actually a fucking masterpiece. i cant believe i forgot about this.
happened to them?
but they are getting worse and worse each time according to reviews. shame shame shame. shatterproof is not a challenge was actually pretty good too.
It's pretty good though.
done bugger all worth talking about since
Seeing them at the Astoria on the weekend of my 18th birthday with all my friends was one of the happiest days of my life
A damn site better than listening to Korn, Linkin Park and all that other Nu Metal crap that was popular at the time (circa 2002).
Hundred Reasons (+ hell is for heroes + Kinesis + Biffy Clyro etc) were a brilliant alternative to lots of the American crap floating around at the time.Unfortunately for them when the popularity of nu metal fell so did the appetite for the Brit Rock bands that were doing well at the time aswell.
the four most important bands of my 15/16 year old life
"ill find you" is just incredible!
Especially that shouty bit in the middle!
I do love them. Plus Id say IAOS is one of my favorite albums.
Oratario always seems to kicking around in my head somewhere, awesome song.
but the last two songs are fantastic.the shoutiness then the quiet one :)
i still hold a soft spot for them.
remmus was their best song.
seeing them at Brixton Academy and they played Soapbox Rally and I was right in the pit but I was the only person jumping around and appeared to know what the song was
the stuff after "IAOS" is a bit gack tobe honest!
You can listen to there new stuff on there site!
They never really progressed!
i had a couple of live sets from radio 1 on tape. loads of songs that never made it onto an official release.
i had a setlist on my wall as well.
um.. the split with garrison, maybe?
but I'm prepared to be wrong
the garrison split had change in season and left handed throwback on it.
ep2 was remmus, soapbox rally and shine i think.
i can't believe i remember all this.
up to the release of the second album, EP2 was the only thing i was missing. i even had both Singles Club CDs..
the video for i'll find you that they sent out?
i had a signed copy of ep1 on cd. always wanted it on vinyl.
i still have all my 7"s in my flat. silver gets played every time i dj.
and my copy of EP1 was the second pressing. FOR SHAME.
supported by Senses Fail and Biffy Clyro. Loads of people left after Biffy :(
And at Brixton supported by Kinesis, Capdown and Sparta
Infact, lets do, because I can't trump that and need a wee
I became a father yesterday, so this is dedicated to my new son, it's called Uncle Cleetus" :)
"TOGETHER WE CAN FLY, THERE AIN'T NO REASON WWWWWHHHYYYYEEEEEYYYYEEEEE!"
Cave In totally knocked me out
All the Biffy fans fucked me off though.
me too, especially one in particular who passed out half way through Biffy.
biffy were better than them at that gig
listening to it right now. got goosebumps think ing about them. i really liked Kill Your Own but it is not a patch on this album...
one of the B-sides from an early single, Formula One should definitely have been on the album.
but not as much as I used to.
I go back to the Neon Handshake much more often than listening to IAOS.
The riffs. Oh man, the riffs.
IT KNOCKS ME DOWN!
My little teenage mind and is still a cracking album today.
Any Racecar is Racecar Backwards love on here?
If only they'd built on all that success and progressed.
when it came out in the numetal days, but they never followed it with anything quite as exciting
it was donnington anyway. also saw them at the shepherds bush empire (might have the wrong venue) and I have to say they were a fuckin' awesome live band.
...and given they are the sort of band I don't normally dance a merry jig over, it must be said there are some very nice twinkly, picky guitar sounds on the record.
beyond belief but I can't find my copy of the album for a relisten..
