Speaks for itself
musical safari dichotomy
has anything else from their new record cropped up on the internet?
Google 'House Jam' which is insanely amazing.
contains snippts of new songs and stuff. New album's songs circa 2006/7.
are the two best tracks for my money (not that I have any).
Don't think they've been blogged anywhere yet though.
I look forward to hearing first communication aand, uh, the rest of the album.
to see that tinchy is surpporting friendly fires in oxford.
I hate to pour water on the burgeoning fire of adoration for this record but I have to say I'm more than a little dissapointed by it.
'Vacuum' is a essentially a My Bloody Valentine cover and the rest of the record is relativley pleasant sounding but It doesn't grab me like God's Money did and it lacks the edge of their live shows.
pitch bends aren't only in the domain of MBV.
i'm probably judging this album overly harshly because I've been excited about it for a long time and, on the strength of their live show, expecting to be incredible. But now i've heard i think it's 'just' a good record and I can't help but feel dissapointed.
This is of course my fault, not the bands.
RE: the MBV thing of course pitch bends aren't their exclusive property but it does sound EXACTLY like that song on Loveless I can never remember the name of.
...for the first 30 seconds after Tinchy came in, it sounded like a messy Hadouken! Then it got real cool.
i've only heard it live and on youtube but it's like 3/4 of the tempo on i only said got two extra notes on the pitch bend line and the complementing guitar bit. It doesn't sound the same to me, does the version on the album have a fuzzed out bit in the middle or something?
I'm not really in a position fit to defend the album only having heard two tracks off of it but it seems pretty similar to the time I saw them.
Where did you get ahold of it anyhows?
cant find an mp3 of it anywhere though yet. The second Tinchy verse is awesome, i cant wait for the album.
