Contender for greatest song ever.
Lyrics, beat, tune, production - all literally perfect.
that god awful Jagger/Bowie version.
Its either that or There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.
to Jagger/Bowie's version is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It's as if the director just gave them a load of cocaine and told them to act like the two biggest twats in the world.
The Bowie/Jagger collaboration very nearly made me cry. The original is somewhat better. For 60s Motown it's gotta be Diana Ross.
She also is an idiot.
I think Martha and the Vandelas were better.
I do seem to recall in the dim and distant seventies having room for that thought. But then the fucking Bowie / Jagger version came out in 1985 and tainted that song for eternity. I can't hear the original without thinking of those two preening nonces wrecking a great song in the name of charity.
I never have said this but it made me nearly choke on my beer.
crappest dancing ever seen
They apparently 'had relations' at one point.
Hopefully it was before they both became the uncoolest men ever to live.
